The Spanish industry of ceramic tile manufacturers is one of the most dynamic and innovative in Spain. Within the ceramic sector worldwide, it is positioned as a leader in terms of technological development, design and quality of service.
The Spanish ceramic tile manufacturing sector is an industry with great weight in the Valencian and Spanish economy. The ceramic industry represents 19,7% of the industrial GDP of the Valencian Community and represents more than 23% of the total GDP of the province of Castellón. The cluster has a very important tractor and multiplier effect, since for every € of direct GDP of the sector it contributes €2,9 of additional GDP to the Spanish economy.
In addition, it represents 14,3% of industrial employment in the Valencian Community and 21,2% of total employment in the province of Castellón.
