As a chemist specializing in industrial property, Francisco Javier Sáez is a European Patent Attorney and Deputy Director of the Patent Department. Throughout his 25-year professional career, he has advised companies on the protection of inventions, with a special focus on the drafting, prosecution, and defense of patent applications in Spain, Europe, the PCT (the Spanish Patent and Trademark Office), and other international jurisdictions. He also frequently participates in oppositions before the European Patent Office, acting both as an opponent and as a defender. He is involved in prior art searches, patentability reports, infringement risk analyses, and patent portfolio evaluations, primarily in the chemical, pharmaceutical, energy, environmental, and agrochemical industries.
