Lorena Sánchez Merino

With extensive experience in the field of intellectual property, Lorena specializes in advising on and designing strategies for the protection of trademarks and designs before organizations such as WIPO, EUIPO, and the Spanish Patent and Trademark Office (OEPM), as well as in various foreign jurisdictions. She advises companies on the planning and implementation of comprehensive strategies for the protection and defense of distinctive assets, including the management of disputes in adversarial proceedings before the OEPM and the EUIPO.
She also has experience in domain name recovery using UDRP procedures. She has spent part of her career at the EUIPO as a PES Trainee in the First Board of Appeal and has participated in the EUIPO–NIPOs Hosting Programme in the Industrial Designs Department of the Spanish Patent and Trademark Office (OEPM).

  • Master's Degree in Intellectual and Industrial Property and New Technologies from the Autonomous University of Madrid.
