Alfonso Diez de Rivera Elzaburu

Alfonso Diez de Rivera Elzaburu joined ELZABURU in 1988 and has spent his entire professional career in the field of industrial and intellectual property. For much of his career, he practiced as a lawyer specializing in trademarks, advising domestic and international companies on the protection and management of their rights.

He has been an Industrial Property Agent and a European Patent Agent since 1988 and an authorized representative before the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO) since 1995.

As a member of the fifth generation of the ELZABURU family, he has combined his professional practice with various management responsibilities within the firm throughout his career. He served as vice president until 2006, and in January 2023, he assumed the presidency of ELZABURU.

As president, he helps drive the firm’s strategic evolution, combining the knowledge he has accumulated over decades of professional practice with his ability to adapt to new business and technological challenges.
