Francisco Javier Sáez

As a chemist specializing in intellectual property, Francisco Javier is a European Patent Attorney and deputy director of the Patent Department. Throughout his professional career, he has advised companies on the protection of inventions, with a particular focus on drafting, processing, and defending patent applications in Spain, Europe, under the PCT, and in other international jurisdictions. He also frequently represents clients in opposition proceedings before the European Patent Office, acting as both an opponent and a defender.

He is involved in prior art searches, patentability reports, infringement risk analyses, and patent portfolio evaluations, primarily in the fields of the chemical industry, pharmaceuticals, energy, the environment, and agrochemicals.
