Ignacio Diez de Rivera Elzaburu

Ignacio has extensive experience in the field of industrial and intellectual property, combining legal expertise with a solid strategic and operational vision for managing the firm.

From 1996 to 1999, he headed the ELZABURU office in Alicante, where he participated in the firm’s first proceedings before OHIM (now EUIPO) and in the registration of the first Community trademark in history.

In addition, he worked as an attorney in the firm’s Litigation practice until 2009 and served on the Board of Directors of the Official Association of Industrial Property Agents from 2014 to 2025, reflecting his commitment to the sector’s development, defense, and institutional representation.

Currently, as a Partner and Director of Operations at ELZABURU, he drives projects related to innovation, quality management, digital transformation, and AI as part of the firm’s efforts toward continuous process improvement and operational efficiency.

He has taught the training course for future industrial property agents organized by COAPI, and has been a faculty member for the training program in Administrative Management of Industrial Property developed by the OEPM and the EOI.
