Ramón Larramendi had an idea, and he turned to ELZABURU to bring it to life. He invented the Wind Sled.

What would you do if you had to cross a snowy desert? How would you go about it if your main goal were to respect the natural environment as much as possible?
A giant sled with a caterpillar-track system that absorbs the impact of uneven terrain. Paragliders or kites use the force of the wind to pull it along, making it a zero-emission vehicle. This was the idea he patented years ago as a utility model.

Our colleagues Juan Miguel Sáinz de Marles and Pedro Saturio Carrasco—who personally oversaw the preparation of the registration—know full well that it is inventors who drive the world forward:

“Right now, Ramón Larramendi is embarking on the SOS ARCTIC 2022 expedition, ‘sailing’ across the ice with his Wind Sled—a vehicle he developed to reach places that other means could not or were prohibited from reaching. This intrepid adventurer, entrepreneur, scientist, and inventor once again inspires us with his passion for tackling the most challenging and the unknown, sharing his experiences and discoveries with us all—leaving the land the team traverses as untouched as they found it.”

Larramendi's goal is to monitor the climate at the pole, which will help develop measures to protect against climate change across the entire planet

This is why it's important to have an idea, carry it out, and protect it.
