ELZABURU has been selected, for the first time, as a finalist in the “Most Attractive Firm for Talent – Spain” category of the 2026 Legal Leadership Awards. On November 5, during the National Law Gala to be held at the InterContinental Madrid Hotel, the winning firm in this category will be announced.

The nomination highlights one of the aspects that define our understanding of ELZABURU: creating an environment where people not only want to join the company, but also want to grow, develop professionally, and build a long-term career.

In this category, we are nominated alongside CECA MAGÁN, a firm we congratulate on also being selected as a finalist.

Recognition of policies to attract and develop talent

The Legal Leadership Awards, organized by Gericó Associates, recognize excellence, innovation, and leadership within the legal sector in Spain and Latin America.

Specifically, the “Most Attractive Firm for Talent – Spain” category recognizes initiatives developed by firms to attract and retain professionals. To select the finalists, the jury evaluates aspects such as recruitment campaigns, selection, hiring, and compensation policies, career and training plans, and collaboration with universities and job fairs.

ELZABURU's proposal is based on one key idea: attracting talent is important, but ensuring that they want to stay and continue to grow within the firm is even more important.

Well-being, professional development, and a sense of belonging: the pillars of our talent model

In recent years, we have continued to work to ensure that our professionals have an environment where they can grow and achieve a balance between their personal and professional lives.

One of our key priorities is long-term professional development, with a Career Plan that allows our professionals to grow within the firm, take on new responsibilities, and advance to positions of greater responsibility, including partnership. This path is accompanied by ongoing training and opportunities to gain visibility in the industry through participation in conferences, publications, and professional events.

In addition, we maintain close ties with the academic community, participating in the training of future specialists in industrial and intellectual property and helping them transition into the professional world.

At the same time, we promote well-being and work-life balance through flexible work policies, remote work, and measures that facilitate a healthy balance between personal and professional life. In addition, we offer HEALTHZABURU, our own comprehensive well-being program, with initiatives focused on physical, emotional, and social health.

We also work to strengthen a sense of belonging by promoting cross-departmental activities, various social gatherings, and recognition initiatives that foster personal relationships and team cohesion.

“For us, attracting talent isn’t just about hiring good professionals; it’s about ensuring they find the opportunities, support, and environment they need to continue growing here. The fact that the average tenure of our workforce exceeds 16 years is probably the best reflection of that commitment,” says Isabel Gómez, Head of Human Resources at ELZABURU.
