Enrique Armijo

As a litigation specialist at Elzaburu, Enrique has extensive experience in the judicial and extrajudicial defense of industrial and intellectual property rights before both Spanish and European courts (CJEU and General Court). Throughout his career, he has been involved in cases that have had a significant impact in this legal field. He also has notable experience in litigation related to unfair competition, trade secrets, personality rights, and contractual and non-contractual matters involving the management and exploitation of industrial property rights and other intangible assets.

• He holds a law degree from the Pontifical University of Comillas (ICADE) in Madrid.
• Master of Laws (LL.M.) in Banking and International Trade (Washington College of Law, American University, Washington, D.C.).
• Practicing attorney since 1987.

• Trademarks, patents, industrial designs, CCPs, and appellations of origin.
• Copyright and Personality Rights.
• Trade secret.
• Unfair Competition and Advertising.

Claims related to the management and exploitation of industrial and intellectual property rights (licenses, assignments, franchises, joint ventures, technology transfers, confidentiality agreements, etc.).

• Member of AIPPI (member of the Editorial Committee of the Spanish Group), INTA (member of the “Standing Committee on Enforcement”), and UNION-IP (Delegate for Spain and member of its “Litigation Committee”).

He is a professor in the master’s programs on intellectual and industrial property and new technologies; business law and admission to the bar; and industrial property and unfair competition offered by the Autonomous University of Madrid, ICADE, and the University of Navarra. In these programs, he teaches courses on IP litigation before European courts (the CJEU and the General Court), unfair competition, and patent litigation. He is also a regular speaker at national and international forums and seminars related to industrial and intellectual property.
