ELZABURU reported revenue of 27.2 million in 2024, up 6.5%

MADRID, APRIL 9, 2025.—ELZABURU, Spain’s longest-standing firm specializing in industrial and intellectual property, reported revenue of 27.2 million euros in 2024, up 6.5% from the previous year.

80.3% of revenue was generated in Europe; 14.4% in the Americas; and 5.3% in the rest of the world. ELZABURU’s client portfolio includes 40% of the companies on the IBEX 35 and a similar proportion of the top 50 companies on the Fortune 500 list.

Revenue in the Trademarks division grew by 10.9%; in the Legal division, by 4.8%; and in the Patents division, by 1.9%.

Trademarks accounted for 44.9% of revenue; Patents, 38%; and Legal, 16.3%. Of particular note is the significant growth in the Media and Entertainment practice, which provided counsel on more than 320 audiovisual and performing arts projects—a 45.5% increase—with budgets totaling more than 120 million euros.

Elzaburu manages more than 60,000 trademarks, 3,200 patents, 1,500 designs, and 200 plant varieties, for a total of more than 75,000 active cases. In addition, over the past 10 years, the firm has participated in the valuation of intangible assets worth more than 1,000 million euros. Its Litigation practice has handled more than 120 industrial and intellectual property lawsuits in the past year, bringing the total to more than 1,500 since the firm’s founding. Meanwhile, the anti-piracy practice, through police and customs operations, has secured the seizure of more than one million counterfeit products.

Elzaburu has a staff of 155 people, of whom 45 are attorneys and 14 are technical staff. Women make up 77% of the workforce, and women account for 30% of the firm’s 13 partners—one of the highest percentages in the industry. Just this year, the ICAM awarded Elzaburu its Seal of Good Practices in Equality.

The firm has 10 European patent agents, 13 European trademark agents, 15 IP agents, and 3 WIPO arbitrators, and works with the four largest national patent applicants, as well as several Spanish applicants for European patents.
