Named the best intellectual property firm for the second consecutive year
ELZABURU has been named Best Intellectual Property Law Firm for the second consecutive year at the awards presented by Expansión Jurídico.
The award was accepted by Ignacio Diez de Rivera, who was accompanied at the ceremony by Mabel Klimt. The awards ceremony was held at the Duques de Pastrana Complex in Madrid and was presided over by the mayor of Madrid, José Luis Martínez-Almeida. This year’s edition broke all participation records, receiving more than 250 nominations from 80 law firms.
In his speech, the mayor stated that “the legal sector brings vibrancy to Madrid, which he considers one of the great legal capitals.” Ana I. Pereda, editor-in-chief of *Expansión*, agreed with the mayor that legal certainty is a factor that attracts investment and fosters business creation. She added that “the coronavirus pandemic has sparked new legal reflections on health and labor relations with the expansion of remote work.”
Ignacio Diez de Rivera emphasized that “I am proud to accept this award, which is the result of the entire organization’s hard work and recognizes our ability to adapt a firm founded more than 150 years ago to the new demands of a market undergoing constant technological and social change.”
