ELZABURU, a leading firm in the defense and protection of intangible assets, has reshuffled its senior leadership with the goal of remaining a global leader in industrial and intellectual property.

Ignacio Diez de Rivera Elzaburu and Mabel Klimt have been appointed President and Managing Partner of ELZABURU, respectively. Both will combine their new roles with the positions they have held within the firm to date: Klimt as head of the Media & Entertainment department, a role she has held since March 2019, and Diez de Rivera as Chief Operating Officer, a position from which he has led the firm’s digital transformation process.

Both designations reflect the goal of remaining a global leader in the defense and protection of industrial and intellectual property, while adapting to the new demands of a market undergoing constant technological and social change.

For Diez de Rivera, a descendant of the founding family, “it is an honor and a tremendous challenge to assume the presidency of this prestigious firm with such an outstanding team of professionals. We want to put our clients first, supporting them in protecting their innovations, patents, trademarks, designs, and intellectual property in this new era of technological and social transformation.”

In the words of the new Managing Partner,“This appointment marks a milestone for our firm: an exciting revolution. A revolution because it involves a global-scale transformation project, and exciting because it seeks the next level of challenge, driving emerging areas such as artificial intelligence while maintaining our policy of continuous improvement and innovation in all other areas to ensure the level of excellence that has always guided our journey.”
