Madrid, May 28, 2024.—ELZABURU, a firm specializing in the management of intangible assets, has published the 12th edition of its yearbook on European case law, which compiles 13 significant cases decided by the Court of Justice and by Spanish courts, with commentary by the firm’s specialists in each area.
This compilation includes annotated court decisions on trademarks (4), copyrights (3), patents (2), designs (2), piracy (1), and plant varieties (1).
Over the past 12 years, the Yearbook has published a total of 337 cases from the Court of Justice of the European Union, the EU Trademark Court, the Supreme Court and the provincial courts, other European and Spanish courts, and the European Patent Office.
This year’s compilation has selected notable cases from the Court of Justice regarding its interpretation of European law in a wide variety of contexts, as well as the work of the Spanish courts, which this year—for the first time—have been joined by civil courts in adjudicating appeals against decisions by the Spanish Patent and Trademark Office (OEPM).
In this issue, nine professionals from the firm have contributed their comments: Enrique Armijo, María Cadarso, Inés de Casas, Juan José Caselles, Mabel Klimt, Carlos Morán, Alessandro Pelliccioni, Pedro Saturio, and Ana Sanz.
The Yearbook's Editorial Committee consisted of Ana Donate, Margarita García, Carlos Morán, Elisa Prieto, José Ignacio San Martín, and Bosco de la Vega.
